Trump Derangement Syndrome, or TDS is a previously unrecognized medical condition, that spread like wildfire following President Trump’s election to his first term in November 2016.
TDS is characterized by an intense emotional reaction of hatred, or aggression with Donald Trump to the point where it affects one’s ability to think rationally. It is an acute onset of paranoia, that produces an inability to distinguish between legitimate policy differences.
Those, infected experience the disease to various degrees, ranging from mild to severe. Recovery is possible in mild cases, patients in the advanced stages have a limited chance of rehabilitation.
TDS Level 1. – The Uninformed
Those with mild cases of TDS are well meaning individuals, who have been misled by the fake news media.
Decades of Globalism and Liberal policies nearly destroyed the US economy, closing thousands of factories and shipping hundreds of thousands of jobs abroad. The establishment, the “swamp” with its many corrupt politicians on both sides of the aisle and its unelected, entrenched bureaucrats in the system hold a lot of power.
The uninformed TDS sufferers don’t understand that an America First president, like Donald Trump is restoring the US economy and its place in the world as a global leader.
TDS Level 2. – The Unhinged
The unhinged level of TDS sufferers are typically college graduates, who were radicalized in the higher institutions they attended. They have been brainwashed, but still capable of a certain degree of critical thinking.
Curricula at college campuses changed in the 1990s and became politicized. Teaching methods began to be based on issues, based on race, class and gender. Thus, education at American universities became indoctrination.
TDS Level 3. – The Mentally Ill
Levels 3,4 and 5 are advanced stages of the illness. These patients are incapable of critical thinking and can no longer distinguish between fantasy and reality.
Erratic and hateful displays of behavior, like flag burning, protesting against capitalism and hating on the United States in general are common by those with this state of mind.
The United States has been the number one destination for immigrants around the world since its founding, because it is a “Land of Opportunities” and the “Land of the Free”. Millions came the the new world and achieved success due to their hard work.
What created these opportunities is a free market capitalist economic system and the emphasis on individual freedoms. Patients, suffering of level 3 TDS are unable to discern these facts.
TDS Level 4. – The Deranged
This is yet another, even more severe degree of TDS. Common symptoms of patients falling into the deranged category include jaw clenching, face distortion and zombie-like traits. Examples shown below:
Receiving professional help from psychiatrists is the only possible remedy, although those, affected maybe incurable at this stage.
TDS Level 5. – The Rabid
The Rabid is the most advanced stage of Trump Derangement Syndrome. These patients exist in a permanently altered mental state. They are very aggressive and foam at the mouth like a rabid dog, whenever they hear Trump’s name.
The Rabid level sufferers appear normal at times, because they internalize their hatred and vitriol. But they are a danger to society, as they can lash out and are capable of violence.
Even legislation has been introduced to research this medical condition: Representative Warren Davidson introduces the “Trump Derangement Syndrome Research Act of 2025”.
