In the years leading up to 2021, the national conversation in the United States was dominated by issues, related to what has become known, as wokeness, or woke culture. The word “woke” was added to dictionaries in 2017, it is slang for awake. In its contemporary use, “woke” means social awareness, being alert to social issues, racism, discrimination and injustice.
Some of the goals of the woke culture are: dissolve the nuclear family, abolish capitalism, eliminate religion, re-write our constitution and raise children gender neutral. Other actions by the woke culture, such as canceling movies, cartoon characters, defunding law enforcement, while refusing to prosecute crimes are covered in this post.
It is hard to see, how accomplishing their objectives would help the cause of social justice. But the ideology of the woke culture is so pervasive in our lives today – in education, in the media, in entertainment and even in sports – that it caught many people in its web of deception. The following brief analysis will demonstrate how misleading their agenda is.
The nuclear family is the backbone of a healthy society, headed by two loving parents, it is the safest way to raise children. Children are far more likely to experience abuse, when they are in the care of non family members. 7 out of 10 black children grow up in single parent households. 80% of youth in prison grew up in fatherless homes. They are far more likely to drop out of school, commit crimes, experience depression and being suicidal. It is not the dissolution, but the restoration of families, that helps African Americans and other minorities.
The United States has been the prime destination for immigrants from around the world in the last two and a half Centuries. Millions came to the “Land of the Free” and found the American Dream. The opportunities, that the new world provided, were the direct result of its free market economy. Capitalism, as an economic system, gives rise to competition, which leads to economic growth, market share and opportunities, that benefit everyone.
Capitalism isn’t the problem, corruption and corporate influence in politics are responsible for the ever growing income inequalities and other ills of society.
Traditional Judeo-Christian values have been under attack by the woke culture. Christians are mocked in the media and in popular culture, even Jesus has been accused of racism. 8 out of 10 African Americans (70% of the US population) identify as Christians. The attributes, associated with religion: faith, love and service, are positive and tend to improve the lives of individuals, families and communities.
The US constitution was created to ensure our personal rights and freedoms. The 13th Amendment outlawed slavery, the 14th gave blacks citizenship, the 15th gave them the right to vote, the 19th Amendment gave women the right to vote. The Constitution guarentees the freedom of speech, of religion, the right to own property, the right to privacy, the right to due process and much more. Woke people have not yet explained, how canceling any of it would lead to increased social justice.
The woke culture claims, that the gender binary, man and woman, is a social construct and that chidren should “choose” their genders. Transgenderism and “gender fluidity” are promoted in schools. There are now up to 112 genders, like genderqueer, agender, demiboy, demigirl and so on. There is a push to give children puberty blockers and sex change surgeries and even eliminate the parent’s right for consent.
Some children do experience gender dysphoria, but they almost always grow out of it. An 8 year old is too young to make life changing decisions and radical interventions, like surgeries are irreversible, it ruins their lives. Suicide rates are 20 times higher among those, who later in life realize what had been done to them.
In addition to promoting its agendas through the media and academia, the woke culture’s other chief strategy to further its cultural influence is political correctness. The textbook definition of political correctness is the “avoidance of action, that is perceived to insult, or marginalize certain groups of people.”
If Political Correctness was only about that, respect and civility in our day to day interactions and a commitment to equity, no reasonable person would oppose it. But as is the case with many other movements, trends and teachings, they can be coopted, to serve a negative agenda.
Under the banner of “tolerance” and “social justice”, the woke culture attacks anyone, that holds differing views. They see everything through the lens of racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia and hurt feelings. This is an effective smokescreen, because they can conveniently apply those labels to anyone, who challenges them.
They claim they believe in free speech, but will only allow speech, that is approved by them, suppressing free thought and intellectual inquiry. They have no tolerance for a diversity of opinions – in the name of tolerance. This is censorship, designed to intimidate and “cancel” those with dissenting views and reach a uniformity of thought.
The term Political Correctness first appeared in the Marxist-Leninist vocabulary, following the Bolshevik takover of Russia in 1917. It was used to describe the adherence to the policies and ideology of the Soviet Communist Party. Today, the Woke Culture uses Political Correctness – and its modern version, the Cancel Culture – for the exact same reason, to silence its critics and force unsuspecting Americans to conform to its totalitarian ideology.
Marx’s followers were disappointed, that the “worker’s revolution” did not take place in the Western world and they came up with a different strategy. Conquering the free world, by transforming the consciousness of the people, using culture as a weapon became their scheme. This is the true origin of the Woke Culture.

It should be noted that many people, who are involved in the woke culture are well-intentioned. Most of them were indoctrinated into the woke ideology by their Marxist professors and are not realizing, that they are unwitting participants in a grand social experiment.

Thank you for helping me to understand what WOKE culture is. Basically, it says, you have the right to live what you want to do and be and the Christians don’t have a right to live as out life as they believe. Interestingly, WOKE says that they want rights and the right to deny others rights because they do not agree with them. Wow, your way is just as unequal as what WOKE says it is fighting against. What is the difference? I still see one group telling another group what they should think and believe. But at least I now understand the issues at hand.

I really wish ALL people would stop saying “Judeo Christian”, that is not a factual thing to say because Jews COMPLETELY REJECT The New Testament. They completely reject Jesus Christ. They have their Talmud and Talmudic teachings which ARE NOT EVER taught to “gentiles”(non jews) because the Talmud teachings are anti-gentile, anti-Jesus, anti-Christians. Jews like Larry Fink created the WOKE movement to confuse gentiles and to destroy Christianity in the name of intolerant. To destroy whites, western, Christian history in the name of colonists, supremacists….Jews like George Soros created the WOKE movement to cause “minorities” to blame whites for their hardships WHILE Jews take up control of it all. 2/3rds of Biden’s top cabinet picks are jews, and they speak WOKE, and they curse white men. I encourage you to not take this blog literally. This is one person’s stretched opinion of what “woke” means. IMHO, this is pure propaganda. Please do some more research before you believe any of this gobbledy-gook. It is a very, VERy far stretch to assume that “woke” people want to abolish the family, rewrite the constitution, defund the police, not prosecute for crimes, etc. Saying those things is just a way of making people believe that “woke” is a terrible thing. Last week-end alone, 104 were shot in Chicago, 13 out of the 19 dead are children. 58% increase in shootings since 2019. In the Bay Area, 11 Walgreens closed, because shoplifters were freely walking in and out with merchandise. Target shortened its hours from 7-10 to 9-6 due to crime.
Why this is happening? Because woke mayors and city councils defunded law enforcement and refuse to prosecute crimes. Woke congresswoman, Rashida Tlaib just doubled down on defunding the police yesterday.
The Black Lives Matter organization calls for abolishment of the nuclear family, claiming it is a “capitalist invention”, but when one black child after another is shot in Chicago, they are nowhere to be found. I guess black lives only matter, when it is politically expedient.
Yes, there has been an attack on our constitution and the woke culture says the founding fathers were racist, selfish aristocrats. Never mind that the republic they founded made the single biggest emancipation of slaves in the history of the world possible.
Churches are burned to the ground in Canada as we speak and woke prime minister, Trudeau took several days, to even address the hate crimes. Attack on religion has also been on the woke culture’s agenda.
There is a humanitarian crisis at the border, the cages are now 700% over capacity, 4 year old children are dropped off and left by themselves, children and female migrants are raped and abused on the way and it doesn’t even make the news, because Biden is president. Instead, woke legislators want to defund CBP.
90%+ of the media is complicit and are advancing the woke agendas. They are the propagandists, thus I’m not surprised that many people are unaware. If this continues, America, the “shining beacon of freedom in the world”, will perish and that is what these closet Marxists have wanted all along.

This article is not 100% BS. Every statement is a reality. The “WOKE/CANCEL CULTURE” is pure poison. The agenda is deceptive and destructive. Their tactics are fear and intimidation under the guise of social justice and equality. They only target persons or groups that dare to challenge them. They are quick to label their opponents as a racist of a haters to gain sympathy and momentum. This is the worst “movement” for African Americans because it fails to address the root of our problems. They focus on the symptoms and take away responsibility and accountability.

You do not substantiate your claim that “it is 100% BS’. Woke culture is clearly a threat. Let’s pick the gender issue as an example… One does not ‘choose their gender’ and miraculously ‘become that gender’. There are only two genders that are defined by DNA (genetics) & that is the science weighing in. There is man and there is woman. Anything else has an additional qualifier such as ‘gay man’ or gay woman’. These are not genders… they are psychological proclivities and/or life choices. Transgender is not a gender. It describes what was until recently defined as ‘gender dysphoria’ in the DSM IV and DSM V. There are not ‘over 100 genders’… only two. The rest are attempts to alter reality.

In the beginning God created them “male and female He created them.” (Gen. 1:27) In the book of Romans when Paul inspired by the Holy Spirit writes about the sexual relationships of women with women this is what is said, “For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural.” And as to “men with men” this is what is said, “and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts.” (Rom. 1:26-27) All through the Bible when gender is mentioned there are only two, “male and female.” Do your own search and see.

It is not 100% BS. Take for example the absolute LIE of “fluid gender”. Not true at all, and already known that any dysphoria is commonly “cured” during puberty. Now you have a movement planting seeds, YES planting thoughts that a child DID NOT HAVE BEFORE in their head, that “you can just choose your gender”. Just like that, no problem, just say you want to be the opposite sex you are and pow, a few hormones, a doctor cuts up your genitals, and magically you are the opposite sex. Only YOU ARE NOT. You threw science right out the window, told a big lie, confused a child, then mutilated them based on their lack of wisdom but hope of your LIE being truly possible. That is total BS. That is what total BS sounds like.

The 14th Amendment gave Blacks Citizenship; yes. The 15th Amendment did not give Blacks the right to vote. That, also was the 14th Amendment. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 (attaching to the 14th Amendment) and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, resulting in the 15th Amendment took the teeth out of the democrats’ Jim Crow Apartheid and Voter Suppression Laws and their KKK enforcement army.

This is NOT true, at least partially. It does however illuminate how systematic disinformation attracts like-minded people. Simple put it means to be “aware”. So yes, the first part of article stating it’s meaning of social awareness, being alert to social issues, racism, discrimination and injustice are factual. The rest goes off the rail and contradicts those principles. The devil gets busy (so to speak) on the misinformation but that’s where it attracts certain aspects of society with lies about “its goals”. Eric (who posted here) is anti-semitic. I read most of the bible and I have not found any of what he is saying about Jews. Aside from that, yes Jews are reluctant to try converting or imposing their religious beliefs on gentiles because Jews are tolerant of other faiths; Judaism is not a missionary religion. Additionally, Jews do not reject Jesus as the son of God. We are all equally children of God. The belief that some children are ‘closer’ to God than others depending on their faith has lead to religious wars from ancient times to the present day throughout the world and even the Holocaust.

The 19th amendment did not “give” women the right to vote. Women had the right to vote prior to the the 19th amendment. There was NO law or bill in Congress prior to to the 19th amendment that denied women the right to vote. The statement above implies that ALL women were denied the right to vote at that time. Women had the right to vote in many states going as far back as the 18th century.

I know of three cases of people who were let go from their jobs recently because they did something so minor and insignificant it shouldn’t even go to HR, but the woke mobs complained and got them fired. There are so many people whose lives are being destroyed by angry woke who get offended by everything, and these are not the cancelled celebrities like JK Rowling or Johnny Depp. These are the folks who don’t have millions to sustain themselves when their careers and lives are ruined. They speak of tolerance and they are the most intolerant people. They speak of anti-racism and yet they are pushing for segregated graduation ceremonies in colleges, and multi-cultural areas that are safe havens from white people. Just put a No whites allowed sign on them while they are at it. They speak of white privilege from their Harvard and Stanford classes, and yet are they willing to give their spots in those schools to a less fortunate person of color? I live in a liberal area, and the high school right next to me has a pride flag on the pole right underneath the US and California flags. Why isn’t there a christianity cross, or a star of david, or the crescent of Islam? They pick and choose who they are tolerant towards, and force their ideology down our throats.
Instead of improving people of colors’ lives by bringing their neighborhoods up and renovating their schools and improving their education, they try to bring everyone down by companies hiring people based on their race and gender instead of qualifications, and dumbing down education. San Francisco claims they are fighting for equality yet it has some of the highest inequality among its residents, and it has some of the worst homelessness problems in the country. These liberal techies that moved there brought the prices up so high that they gentrified large portions of the city at the expense of the original inhabitants who tend to be people of color. Yup, the holier than thou denizens of SF, by the fact that they moved there and took 6 digit salaries upended many of the people they claim to fight for.
The author is right about crime in SF. Search for Nieman Marcus SF robbery. In broad daylight, thieves went into the store and stole purses. They are so emboldened because the prosecutors slap them on the hand, and let them out.
I have one word to describe woke culture. HYPOCRISY.

The only safe and trustworthy standard for any culture or people no matter what color their skin is or what place on the earth they are from, is the Bible. Their maybe a few individuals who believe in some of the culture of, “Woke” but I cannot find any responsible individual running for a government office who has made the “woke” discussion part of his campaign. Rather, it seems to be the whipping boy invented by the far-right politician for something to be against. When I ask for the name of someone running for office, or is in office, for a name of a, “Woke” adherent, I am told that there are plenty of them. And as Sen, Mccarthy said, “Even one is too many.”

And as to #1 above, kids who have transitioned have the highest suicide rates and MANY are DE-transitioning back b/c they are so regretful of the damage that they have done to their bodies, at the encouragement of WOKE adults. That is simply:: Child Abuse of the worst kind.

My birthday in December will promote me to 90 years. Reading the “What is Woke Culture Definition” has restored a bit of hope for this wonderful U.S.A. Some citizens continue to base their lives on the scripture of the Holy Bible! Perhaps there is hope for my fourth – generation gran children to live in the land of peace, security, and opportunity which has blessed my life im-measurably.

Whomever opposes the Word of God (whether Christian or not) will probably adhere to the “woke culture” with zeal. But woe unto you who do not accept that God created the true “woke” culture. When the Apostle Paul wrote, “We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God,” he meant that no society will ever be perfect or void of imperfections. Therefore, whatever ideology the “woke culture” is trying to convey, was already a part of God’s Redemption Plan for salvation for humankind through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Before we all get excited about these ‘woke’ people, let’s get the Facts straight. If people were ‘woke’ they would KNOW that every word coming from their mouths, or from their fingers, or from a pen or pencil….is a Lie!! Every single word. Oh my!!!
In my observations surrounding this farcical topic – ‘woke’ culture – I find it to be the work of three main ‘institutions of change’, consisting of lobbyists and their cohorts in crime, who have given a new name to the art of peacefully forcing upon the people of the world, a culture so evil in its roots, devious in its nature, cunning and tricky in its introduction, and totally deceptive in its performances.
The major problem with these self-appointed groups of ‘social engineers’ is, they have only a Second Grade reading level at best, and therefore continue to use fraudulent language procedures in trying to get their message across. However, the increasing amount of students and teachers now being introduced to Correct-Parse-Syntax-Grammar, has become a spanner in their works and gears……so to speak.
The jig is up. The mortgages and contracts, treaties and trusts, books and bibles, and all Constitutions, have been found to be totally and grammatically incorrect, and were therefore disqualified….some of the most important ones being sold at Christie’s Auctions, as ‘Historical Documents Of No Value’, and for millions!!
Whosoever wishes to call themselves ‘woke’, and continue with ‘woke culture’, will always be locked into negative performances of a ‘cultic’ nature……evil.

I have read the angry messages on this thread and am so saddened. I am nearing the end of my life and am thankful I won’t be here when society goes down the toilet. The world won’t end with a bang. It will revert back to the Law of the Jungle. The Human Race has gained so much knowledge yet still can’t figure out how to treat other with basic respect.

Thank you for providing a more realistic definition of “Woke”. The CONS/PROS. And not swaying your definition in a “WOKE” manner. This is not an ideology that is conducive for humanity. If you research the individuals who call themselves “WOKE”, it is not to be AWARE, but to cause division amongst our society. Destroy the nuclear Family. And be part of a movement that can distinguish them from being normal and part of what is best for mankind in a republic, peace, harmonious, and respectful environment. Most “WOKE” personnel I have researched are miserable, angry, have a deep need to be identified due to their insecurities, and have no deep intellect of what the true purpose is. It is sad! But, “WIFF” is the word-WOKE IS FINSIHED FOREVER…..
